This is a translation of the first page of the customs declaration form, section by section.

The coloured boxes contain a translation of each part of the form.

Underneath each box is advice on completing that part of the form.

Customs Declaration

  • To be filled in by persons aged 16 or over.
  • To answer, mark a cross in the box below
Keep this form for the duration of your stay in the country and submit for customs inspection on exit. Not renewable in case of loss.

When you arrive in Tajikistan, put a cross in the "Entry" box. When you leave, you need to fill in a second customs declaration. Put a cross in the "Exit" box box and hand both declaration forms to the customs official.

"Patronymic" can be left blank, unless you have a Russian/Slavic name. Passport series can also be left blank.

If you are arriving in Tajikistan, put "Tajikistan" for country of destination and where you just came from as country of departure. If you are leaving, put "Tajikistan" for country of departure and where you are going next as country of destination.

* For the purpose of customs control, goods listed in 3.2-3.12, if any, must be described in detail in section 4 of this customs declaration, overleaf.

Tajik customs officials seem to be most interested in how much hard currency you are importing. Declare the currency (e.g. USD) and amount in section 3.1. Most travellers should be able to tick "no" for sections 3.2-3.12.
