Electricity is the most reliable utility in Tajikistan. There are occasional blackouts, but usually these do not last for more than a few hours. It is still a good idea to bring a battery powered torch or head torch.
Tajikistan's electricity supply is 220 V, 50 Hz. Sockets are the round European type, with two pins but no earth connection.
